DEAL FOR The Deal (Off-Campus Book 1) [Kindle Edition]

“I never expected her. Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know how you ever lived with them. How you went about your day and hung out with your friends and f****d other people without having this one important person in your life.”

Time and time again, my reading history has proved to me that all I need for a book to make me pay attention is a confident, articulate writing style and multifaceted characters who take shape in my mind, regardless of how distant their reality is from my own. But for a book to truly make me fall in love with its story, there needs to be a certain synergy of all its elements, an undeniable spark flickering between the characters that arouses my interest immediately and makes me unable to step away. And this book had it all. I can honestly say that very few stories end up truly satisfying the picky reader in me to such an extent that I see no faults, but this heartwarming, funny, unexpectedly profound little gem took me by surprise and ended up rocking my world. Deceivingly nothing more than a cliché college scenario at first glance—a jock falling for the ‘invisible’ girl—this is a story of courage, inner strength, of paving one’s own way in life, and of love…unplanned, unequivocal, impassioned love that you feel all the way to your toes. I read this book in one day, sporting a permanent smile on my face because everything about this story made me happy, and at the end, I so desperately wanted to re-read it all over again.

ROCKWELL RK9000 JAWHORSE

ROCKWELL RK9000 JAWHORSE
In the shop, this is my bench vise (I don't have a "real" bench vise). It's a very powerful, non-marring clamp. It's convenient to be able to support heavy work pieces with both hands while clamping with your foot. Last night I was drilling dowel holes for an end-table project; the JawHorse held the walnut parts. Nothing moved so much as a millimeter. Last week I took it to work to support a 4x8 porcelain white board while mounting it to the wall. I used a 2x4 clamped in the jaw at an angle to support the board, which weighed about 40 pounds. Two weeks ago I used it in the back yard with the Log Jaw attachment to hold large branches while I cut them into firewood.
If a tool's value is determined by how often it is used, this may be the most valuable tool I own other than my cordless drill. I've used it several times every week since I got it 6 weeks ago. Compared to what I've paid for most of my tools, this is also an outstanding bargain.

ROCKWELL RK9000 JAWHORSE Sometimes

ROCKWELL RK9000 JAWHORSE Sometimes

Sometimes it would clamp down great and other times the foot pedal would just slip and I'd bang my knee. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with it while on the phone with Rockwell support. I returned it for a replacement which had the exact same problem. This time I slid back the clamping jaw and took a look at the little tooth mechanism to see if I could fix the problem. There is a small pin running through the mechanism that controls the height of the teeth. In lock position I could see the teeth wiggle up and down and back and forth in a way that didn't look right. I used a hammer to pound the pin about .5 cm to the left and it worked like it should have out of the box. Disappointed with Rockwell for not being able to help the first time around and for shipping another product with the exact same defect. Inexcusable, there is obviously an issue in their production line that they have yet to address. Anyway I hope this helps others avoid the annoying return.

Rockwell Rk9003

Rockwell Rk9003
I received the rk9003 today and took it out of the box . When I went to slide the jaw; it slide rather tight. So after looking it over I got out my mallet and did some pounding on the places I thought was binding. After some pounding and lubricant it freed up quite well. I was thinking about sending it back; the way its working now its a keeper. I also got it for a very good price. I got it for under a $150 and now its over $200 with shipping. I looked it over and the only plastic I saw on this model was the lock and unlock switch. Maybe I just missed it I'm not sure. If anybody else has any experience with this new model I would like to read about it. The reason for only 4 stars was because of the messing around to get it working more smoothly. I guess the way things are made today I should be happy.

Love it. Hold big or heavy objects, like having a 3rd hand around. ROCKWELL RK9000 JAWHORSE

I have some rental properties and I manage some fix-up and renovation work by myself without 3rd hand. From time to time, I run into situations that need another pair of hands to hold stuff for me. I have a portable working bench with vise. But the vise is too weak to hold heavy objects, or wide objects. And my portable bench wobbles.

I am so glad to find this jawhorse from Amazon. Majority of the jawhorse are built with metal, only few non-load-bearing components are plastic. It is not only heavy duty, but also very heavy. But that's the good part, its weight helps to keep thing stable.

The clamping mechanism is a smart design. I can use both hands to position the object and then use one feet to step on the pedal to clamp the object. And the clamping power is great.

When not in use, this jawhouse can be folded down for easy transportation or storage as it really does not take up too much space.

In summary, this is a great investment if you need to work on large objects that won't fit in the typical bench vise, or you need additional hands.
